Alonzo Bodden’s – 1098 Cafe Fighter

This beautiful 2007 1098 Cafe Fighter owned by Alonzo Bodden was designed and built by Nick Anglada of  Nick Anglada Originals Inc. from Oakland, Florida. The 1098 Alonzo fell in love with was purchased mainly as a track motorcycle that was later laid down due to a highsider at Buttonwillow in June of 2010, resulting in a broken wrist and damage to the bike. When it came time to rebuild it he had two options, to have the bike rebuilt to its original specifications or have the ultimate and most unique 1098 cafe fighter on this planet. This is where mastermind Nick Anglada stepped in.

Alonzo shipped the crashed 1098 to Anglada’s shop in Oakland where the build took place. The 1098 was completely stripped and rebuilt piece by piece. You can check out Nick Anglada’s Facebook Album of the build. This 1098 Cafe Fighter may be missing almost 23kg of its original weight but it still got that Ducati swag. The Double Dog Moto titanium exhaust alone, is responsible for reducing the weight by almost 6kg, and those welds are jaw dropping. The central piece of this build is the carbon fiber monocoque sub-frame also by Double Dog Moto.

The frame was de-tabbed and powder coated. Also for the CRG Moto rear sets, mounting points were welded on to the frame. The aluminum forged Carrozzeria Vtracks wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rossa Corsa tires. The stopping power comes via Beringer calipers and rotors  with help from the Galfer brake and clutch lines. For the tank Anglada chose to keep it brushed aluminum to give the bike balance in color.
